Photo Recovery Tool – Deleted Photos Not in Recycle Bin

I accidentally deleted one folder which contained several hundreds of photos. Because the file was too large, it was deleted without going to the Recycle Bin. Could someone please tell me how I can recover my photos?

When you delete a large file, you may be prompt with this message:”This file is too big for Recycle Bin, would you like to permanently delete it?” If you click Yes then the file will be permanently removed from your computer and you will not be able to restore it from Recycle Bin. This is because the capacity of the Recycle Bin is limited. You cannot put anything larger than the maximum capacity into the Recycle Bin. If you accidentally deleted very large files such as folders full of photos or high definition videos, you can follow below steps to recover them.

Step 1. Stop Using the Computer for Other Purposes Immediately – Once you realize that some files were deleted mistakenly, you need to immediately stop using your computer except for necessary data recovery operations. This is to prevent any new file from overwriting the deleted file. When files get deleted, the space they used to take will be marked as free by the file system. This allows any newly created files to take the room and overwrite the old files. We can’t predict when or by what the deleted files will be overwritten, so in order to get the best recovery result, we’d better stop using the computer immediately.

Step 2. Download Data Recovery Software – Downloading a piece of data recovery software is a good way to restore the deleted files, especially when you are not able to locate them in your recycle bin. Make sure the software you download is professional and reputed. H Data Recovery Software is the recommended tool to recover large deleted files with positive results. Once you have free-downloaded the software, install it on your computer.

Step 3. Scan for Lost Files – Select the accidental deletion module and scan the partition where the photos were originally stored. If you have trouble recalling on which drive you stored these files, choose the Universal Recovery module to perform a full-scale scan. Once the scanning process is done, a list of recoverable files will be presented to you with their original file structure intact. You will be able to search and filter the content by file names or file extensions.

Step 4. Retrieve The Files You Want To Restore – Browse the list of recoverable files and select individual files or entire folders that you wish to restore. It is important that you choose a safe place to store these soon-to-be-recovered files. Another hard drive or partition is preferred to avoid any potential overwriting.

How to Put Large Files into Recycle Bin

If you are tired of the frequent “file too large for Recycle Bin” prompts, maybe your Recycle Bin capacity is set too low. You can manually configure the maximum size to fit your own requirement. Right-click on the Desktop Recycle Bin icon and go to Properties. Select Custom Size and personalize the Maximum size in MB. You can set the maximum size for each partition separately.
